Well folks this is the end of this one. Someone asked if this was
archived anywhere else and no it's not, just here. If someone knows
where I can put it or if anyone wants it let me know. Thanks to
everyone who gave me feedback. I have another story in my head but I
don't know whether it will ever make it from there to here. I have
the first part done but not sure whether I will post it or not.

     Buffy sat the last bowl of food and looked around the backyard.
The welcome home sign hung loosely from the back porch and the table
was full of food. She watched as Joyce came out into the yard, "Is
that everything?"

"Yes I think it is," Joyce said surveying the yard herself.

"Have you heard from Will or Tara?" Buffy asked her counterparts
mother.

"Yeah Rupert called about five minutes ago. They were just finishing
the paperwork and then getting ready to leave. They should be here in
a little while. Buffy, why didn't you go to the hospital with Will?"
Joyce asked her.

"I just figured I'd give them some time to bond with the baby. Will's
so excited about bringing him home and I know Buffy and Tara were
too."

"I know," Joyce laughed, thinking about the way the blonde witch had
been nearly bouncing off the walls for the last two days. "Buffy, can
I ask you something? Are Buffy and Tara together?"

"Would it bother if they were?"

"No, of course not. I love Tara like she was a daughter and she has
certainly stuck by Buffy during this pregnancy. I would be happy if
they were," Joyce answered.

"I don't think they are yet," Buffy said.

"Yet?" Joyce questioned.

"They will be in time. Don't worry about it," Buffy said cryptically.

"Ok, I trust you," Joyce said, as Xander and Cordy came in bringing
Buffy's girl's.

"Are they here yet," Ali yelled jumping into her mom's lap.

"Not yet, soon. You guys are really happy about this aren't you?"
Buffy asked her daughters.

"Oh yeah a little brother to terrorize," Jesse said sitting down
beside her mother on the ground.

"Hey there will be no terrorizing of the little brother," Willow said
from the back porch, where she stood holding her newborn son.

"Ooh baby," Dawn squealed and ran to her mother. "Gimmie him."

"Nope," the older Buffy said taking her stepson from his mom. "He's
all mine for a little bit. I need to bond and get to know him." Buffy
found a chair in the corner of the yard and sat down, "So little man,
how you holding up? Pretty scaring world you came into huh? Well
don't worry about it too much. I happen to have it on good authority
that you are well protected and will grow up to be one hell of a man.
See I wasn't supposed to be here. I know what you're thinking, kid
and no your mom and mama wouldn't have gotten together. See they were
never meant to be. The PTB told me a lot before I left up there. You
should feel privileged I haven't even told your mama about this stuff
but I think it's pretty safe to tell you. Ok were do we start?" Buffy
asked looking at her family mingling around the yard. She settled on
Xander and Cordy sitting on the swing talking to the twins. "Uncle
Xander, after some pushing on my part is going to go work for a
construction company after high school. By the time he's 25 he will
own one of the most successful company this side of LA. Aunt Cordy is
going to start college but will get pregnant in her freshman year. It
takes her and Xander by surprise but they deal. She does finish
school with a lot of help from all of us. She's turns out to be one
hell of a elementary school teacher but you'll get to know that first
hand. You see that brunette over there? Unfortunately you won't get
to know her very well if you even remember her. She's not going to
make it but she'll die a hero at least to the people that know. Faith
will close this hellmouth and that will lead to all the hellmouth's
being closed. By the time you graduate from high all demons that
aren't good will be gone. Joyce and Giles live to be little happy old
folks." Buffy paused and found Tara and Buffy lying under a tree.
Buffy had her head on Tara shoulder as Tara ran her fingers through
her hair. "Your mom and Tara look comfy. Get used to it kiddo, Tara's
around for the long haul. I think they're just starting to understand
what they feel for each other." Buffy looked up to see Willow staring
at her and start her way. "Your mom looks so beautiful today."

"Thank you," Willow said as Buffy scooted to let sit with
her. "What're you two talking about?"

"The future."

"Anything I should know about?" Willow asked.

"Maybe," Buffy grinned. "I have a surprise."

"Ooh do tell."

"Remember when the twins were little and we talked about having
another baby?"

"Yeah and you said you wanted to be the one to have it. Do you want
to have a baby, Buff?" Willow asked.

"Um.well, the PTB asked me besides going back what the one thing I
wanted the most was and having a baby with you was the one thing I
could think of. Will, I pregnant."

"Really?" Willow asked looking into her partner's eyes.

"Yeah," Buffy whispered. "I wanted to be able to surprise you. I know
it might be kind of soon after this little guy but I didn't want to
wait. Are you upset?"

Willow kissed her on the cheek, "Oh honey, how could I be upset. I
love you. It is kind of soon but what the hell at least they can grow
up close."

"So you're happy?"

Willow looked out over the yard at the group assembled on the yard
before standing up, "Hey guys can I have your attention. I can't
believe the things that have happened since that first night I showed
up at the front door. At that point in time I felt so alone in the
world. I'd just lost my Watcher and was forced to leave everything I
had ever known behind. I was worried about Dawn and whether I had
done the right thing for her. You guys took us in and made us feel
like we had a family. Cordy that first day at the beach you made me
realize that family wasn't about DNA or blood but about ties and
bonds. I found my family here with you and with your counterparts in
the other world.  I wouldn't have survived had it not been for you
and the love and support of all of you. Buffy just told me that
there's going to be a new member to this growing family and I for one
can't be happier. Buffy I love you, actually I love both of you, in
different ways but I love you. Tara what can I say; you gave me hope
when I was scared and confused. Joyce, you were a mother and a friend
and knew when I needed one and not the other. Giles, my Watcher, my
friend, my father, I love you. Xander, Cordy, Faith, I couldn't ask
for a better group of friends. My girls and my new son, I promise to
protect and love you no matter what comes about. You made my life
what it is and I thank you," the redheaded former Slayer laughed as
everyone ran to hug her and Buffy all once. She caught the older
Buffy's eyes and couldn't miss the love and adoration she saw. `I
love you', she mouthed before losing herself in the love of her
family.




Willow: "It's a good fight, Buffy, and I want in."
Buffy:  "I kinda love you."
