Here's mine.
The Willow-Xander confrontation on Kingman's Bluff is probably the best
Scooby moment in the entire show and was pretty much the only thing I really
liked in season 6.
As much as some people (especially the frigging writers like Marti
Noxon) try to ignore or minimise it, you CAN'T ignore the depth of
feelings the core Scoobies have for each other.
ESPECIALLY Willow and Xander. Nearly twenty years of friendship and shared
experiences doesn't just go away.
That scene should have marked the start of all the Scoobies reconnecting to
each other. The Buffy-Xander-Dawn thing they had going at the start of season 7
was great, having Buffy and Willow sitting on the bed together as Buffy gave
Willow the strength to heal herself was brilliant. We needed Giles to come back
and take his place in the Scooby Gang again.
We needed the Scooby Gang to turn their focus inward and fix all the
problems and faults that had developed in their friendship over the
years.
Instead we got the huge pile of shit that was season 7.
Kingman's Bluff should have set up an outstanding season in which to end
the show. The Scoobies united, saving the world and each other.
But it didn't. Joss screwed up.
The "Yellow Crayon speech" showed us what the show once was all about, the
kinda show we originally fell in love with.
