According to televisionwithoutpity.com, a secret ending has been filmed for the 100th episode. This is not unusual, having a secret part filmed for Angel since they did this before to reintroduce Lindsey back to the show. The original ending had Cordelia kissing Angel and then leaving out the office and then the end credits rolled.

Well, the secret scene that was fi lmed has Cordelia leaving as Angel gets a phonecall. The person on the other end of the phone tells Angel something and you hear him say "When did she (Cordelia) die? So she never woke up?" Thus it means Cordelia will die on the 100th episode of Angel and that is how they will wrap up her storyline.

This is my theory.

He just doesn't care anymore.
