Ficlet: Conversation In Rome

Been ages since I've written this stuff, but I got back into this 
with a Harmony ficlet of all things, so I may as well revisit the 
sweetest of Unconventional Buffy Ships...

Title:  Conversation In Rome

Spoilers:  For BtVS S7, and Angel S5
Summary:  We learned in Shells that Willow was astral projecting.  
What was she looking for?

Rome...

Buffy:  Willow!!!  (gives her a big hug and kiss)

Willow:  Um...  I'm happy to see you too, Buffy.  Is there something 
you wanna tell me?

Buffy:  Oh, sorry...  Had to make sure you weren't the First Evil.

Willow:  (disappointed)  Oh...

Buffy:  So, what'd you find out?

Willow:  Well, I did the astral projection thing you asked me to, 
and big news.  Spike's alive.

Buffy:  What?!!!  Where?!!!

Willow:  With Angel.

Buffy:  I wonder why they haven't called, yet?  They must be in 
trouble...

Willow:  He's...  been there a while, actually.

Buffy:  And...  Neither of them could pick up a phone?

Willow:  Well...  It's...  Spike thought that you'd just hop a plane 
to LA if you knew...

Buffy:  And that's what I'm GOING to do...  And kick both their 
asses all over Southern California!!!  I don't rate a PHONE CALL?!!!

Willow:  He thinks...  (rolls eyes) you'd be better off without 
him.  Y'know, picnics in the park and so on...

Buffy:  GOD!!!  "I'm nothing like Angel"...  Yeah, RIGHT!!!  

Willow:  Maybe it's something in the bloodline...

Buffy:  "Oh, I'm going to brood, alone, and work up loads of sexual 
tension..."

Willow:  Well, he has Harmony to take care of that...

Buffy:  EWWWW!!!

Willow:  That was pretty much my reaction...

Buffy:  MEN!!!  That's it, I'm giving up on them...

Willow:  (smiling)  Oh, did I tell you Kennedy and I broke up?





Willow: "It's a good fight, Buffy, and I want in."
Buffy:  "I kinda love you."
