Title:  Missing Scene From Older And Far Away

Disclaimer:  Not making anything off of this, as all characters are 
owned by Mutant Enemy and Fox.  I would use the abreviation of 
Mutant Enemy, but then it would like I was claiming ownership.
Spoilers:  Older And Far Away
Summary:  Thanks to a discussion we were just having, I had to write 
this.  Had no choice, whatsoever, so it's all your fault.  So, um, 
suddenly continuing the "Missing Scenes" series from a few years 
back.  It's Buffy's birthday party.  Tara's there.  So's Spike.  
Tara, Buffy, and Spike are acting strange, and not due to the spell 
that's not allowing people to leave the house.  So, here, Willow 
notices...


Willow:  (angry)  Buffy, we need to talk...  NOW!!! (drags Buffy to 
room)

Buffy:  Um, Wills...  What...?

Willow:  Is there something you need to tell me?

Buffy:  Can it wait?  Y'know, we ARE stuck in this house...

Willow:  No!  You think I haven't NOTICED?!!!  All these weird 
conversations you're having and not thinking I know what you're 
talking about?!!  All those knowing glances?!!  The way Tara's been 
being catty with Spike all night?!!

Buffy:  Oh...  I was going to tell you...

Willow:  How long has this been going ON?!!!  You two obviously 
haven't been meeting, here, seeing as I LIVE here, and all...

Buffy:  Look...  I KNEW this was how you were going to react.  I-I 
didn't mean for it to happen...  Didn't WANT it to happen...  

Willow:  But you got all smoochy and groiny, anyway!!!

Buffy:  Yeah...  God...  I don't know why I'm doing this...  I 
just...  I needed to feel...

Willow:  So, you decided to FEEL the woman I love right after she 
DUMPED me?!!!

Buffy:  What?!!!  No, no...  I didn't!!!  OK, it's Spike...  I've 
been sleeping with Spike.

Willow:  (scoffs)  Oh, yeah, you've been sleeping with Spike...  
What kind of fool do you TAKE me for?!!!  

Buffy:  Willow....  I'd never do that to you.

Willow:  No, no...  You wouldn't.  I'm sorry...  So, instead of 
sleeping with Tara, you're sleeping with a soulless vampire...

Buffy:  (ashamed)  Yes.

Willow:  Well...  That's OK, then.

Buffy:  WHAT?!!!  How is it OK?!!!  He's a soulless demon!!!

Willow:  Yes, but...  You don't love Tara, so I'm relieved.

Buffy:  I do, TOO!

Willow:  But not...  like that!  You don't go that way.

Buffy:  How do you know?  It's not like you ever told me when you 
were ready to come out...  No, you pushed me into Riley!  Do you 
know how INSULTED I felt?!!  How long I'd been WAITING for you to be 
ready to open up to new possibilities?!!  But...  I couldn't hate 
Tara, y'know?  She's so sweet and loving and understanding...  
(looks a little dreamy)

Willow:  You're not fooling me.

Buffy:  And so cute and adorable...  Sigh...  I just want to...

Willow:  It's not gonna work...  Not feeling threatened...  Not 
feeling jealous...  

Buffy:  Well then, I guess I'll just have to prove it.  I'll go 
seduce Tara.  (leaves room)

Willow:  (scoffs, again)  Yeah, right...  She's going to do that 
dance thing she does, and lure Tara to her bedroom, and make sweet 
love to her...  (looks alarmed)  Wait!!!  (gives chase)




Willow: "It's a good fight, Buffy, and I want in."
Buffy:  "I kinda love you."
