Ok, see that's where my thinking is. I don't know if after all that time she 
'could' quit. Not just because of the forces of darkness, but out of habit. 
Or something to do with her energy. Remember S5? At the beginning she was 
always going out late and hunting. She may have learned all she needed about 
herself and stuff like that, but I think a little of that would come out if 
she tried to just quit and be completely done with it.

Then, there's that issue of her being sooo against what the council 
represented. I think she would help for a while, but once you get started in 
something like that it's hard to get out of. You get in at the very 
beginning being you she is, and I think she'd be too wrapped up in it.
