Each one's part in the final battle was different.  Willow couldn't 
exactly have done the big spell in the middle of the main 
battleground, after all.  She had to do it the way she did in 
Becoming.  

Being down there with the Seal pretty well required one to be a 
super strong hunter preditor human/demon hybrid type.  I don't think 
where everybody was during the fight reflected who was tied together 
and who had lost their bond.  If that were the case, then, OK, it IS 
Buffy and Faith in the end (aside from being the last to leave), but 
wouldn't that mean Willow lost Kennedy the moment she completed the 
spell?

Buffy has a father.  Absentee father, but still a father.  Giles 
isn't that, to her.  He's one of the Fab Four, not a seperate figure 
from the Terrific Trio.

ASH wanted to spend more time at home, so he couldn't be around all 
the time.

Explaining Spuffy would take a while.  I suppose you can blame Sarah 
for all these ships.  Girl just has great chemistry with everybody. 
Spuffy was already an extremely popular ship way back in S2.  Hell, 
Spillow was really big for a while.
