Re: Question about BtVS Werewolf lore

When Oz killed Veruca, he did it by ripping out her throat with his 
fangs.  This leads to the possibility that if the injury is 
significant enough so that the werewolf dies before it can heal 
itself that any traumatic injury would kill one.
1.  Broken neck.
2.  Severe trauma to the skull.
3.  Having their heart ripped out.
4.  Bleeding to death from when a limb is ripped off.
5.  Massive internal injuries from being beaten to death.

Pretty much what would kill a human but it has to be incredibly 
severe to overcome the werewolves quick healing process.
My take on the silver was that it's like poison to them.  You don't 
have to hit them in the heart to kill them, the silver getting into 
their system is what does it.
