Dear Alnisa,

Thank you for your explination.  As I said, I was trying to come up 
with a way to overcome a serious lack in the Yahoo Groups interface.

If it's a bad idea, don't do it.  I have no experience posting 
multipart messages; I just thought it would work.  It sounded good to 
me at the time.

I use web mail.  I have a limited inbox and cannot afford to have the 
list sent to me so I have to use the Yahoo interface.  And the Groups 
interface is lacking in two important features.

1) You cannot look at all posts by an author.  This would solve my 
problem if that feature was added.

2) The search only searches a tiny fraction of the database.  If the 
entire archive was searched at once, this would offset problem one.  
Right now it searches, what; three posts at a time?  Irritating.

Thank you for your time and excellent argument against.
