Willow was silenced by Kennedy?s finger on her lips:

Kennedy gently caressed Willow?s face and put a lock of hair behind her ear. Willow softly whispered:

Willow looked sad:

?There?s nothing to waste, these feelings, Buffy doesn?t want them, she doesn?t want me?

?She didn?t say anything at all, last night we-? Willow stopped, not daring to say what Kennedy already knew anyway. The brunette inhaled deeply then said:

?I think it must be even harder for her, in her position to admit it than it is to you, try to think about that?

?I don?t think she wants... I don?t think we should try it, it?s probably not meant to be?

?Remember what you told me minutes ago; these feelings are what make humanity something worth fighting for, so are you gonna give up on them now??

Willow looked thoughtful and a bit lost:

Buffy couldn?t help thinking of how close they were when she opened the door. She could guess Kennedy nudity under the sheets. She shook her head:

?Err I-I, I should?ve knocked I-I guess, I-I?m sorry. I should go? she looked disappointed and very sad. Willow got up:

?No Buffy please?

?Stay? Kennedy ended, Buffy couldn?t look at the girls but Kennedy?s word stopped her nonetheless.

The brunette potential quickly put her panties and pants back and slid in a shirt while moving towards the slayer; she put her hand on her shoulder telling her honestly:

Buffy turned around and looked at Willow who looked hesitant as to where to start, the witch sat on the bed again.

Buffy gulped several times then finally she went to sit on the bed beside Willow.

?I?m sorry?

Willow hesitantly tried:

?What for exactly??

Buffy looked at her:

?For leaving you without a word this morning, for hurting you?

Buffy looked down at her hands, Willow asked:

?Was it me? I mean was it not-. God I don?t understand why it?s so embarrassing for me to ask that, I- was I not-?

?God Willow no you-? Buffy stopped then inhaled deeply and continued:

?It was too much. In my whole life I?d never felt something like this and... it scared me?

Willow nodded:

They looked at each other silently for a while then Willow asked:

Willow looked at Buffy like she was the last thing on earth; she took her hands in hers:

Buffy took a deep breath, Willow inhaled deeply but then felt relieved, and she went on while Buffy looked like she was missing air.

Buffy looked aside while a tear was falling down her cheek, Willow took Buffy?s face in her hands to make her gently look at her:

Buffy was crying now, she moved her hands to Willow?s face and caressed her gently, staring at her attentively, touching her face like she had never done it before. Willow had closed her eyes to let the feeling of Buffy?s sweet touches overwhelming her. Buffy moved closer and they kissed softly and slowly. Willow slightly smiled but was still unsure:

?What do you mean??

?For the first time since it started I know we?re gonna win and it will be thanks to you?

Willow frowned even more, Buffy smiled at her, caressing her jaw:

?I had a dream, you and me Willow, all of us, we?re gonna change history?

She kissed her then explained to her what her plan was.

Willow looked a bit puzzled:

?I don?t know if I can do that, if I?m strong enough?

?Well, stable enough then?

Buffy smiled:

She kissed her and added:

?Kennedy will remain by your side, I know she can protect you if it goes bad but I know it will be ok, but you?ll feel safer with her by your side and she?ll bring us the scythe afterwards?
