You might want to read the article.  That'd give you JM's take on 
things, especially Season 6.  SMG wasn't the only one with huge 
issues with it.  One notorious scene, in particular, was very rough 
for him.  He'd turned down roles over things like that, but was, as 
he put it, under contract with this one, so he was stuck with it.

You mean the storyline that portrayed the rest of the Scoobies 
as "ungrateful traitors" who couldn't tie their shoes without 
Buffy?  The original script for that episode made them look even 
worse, complete with a "Judas Kiss".  

And when did Joss tell the media what you claim he did?  The only 
thing I know of what he's said on the subject was it was about how 
he had to learn to be the boss, even if he made decisions that got 
friends mad at him.

As I said, it may be a coincidence that her time of discontent was 
when Joss was putting most of his energies into Firefly.  If she 
would never work on a Joss project, again, why was she going to do 
Angel?

I know what SMG and JM have said on the subject of S6, but when has 
Aly said anything?

I can only go by what she, herself, has said, which was that she 
lost touch with the character.

It all comes down to what you can sell the networks.  That's what a 
lot of people are forgetting in their speculation.

I can speculate on Jeff Bell's motivations for a lot of things, 
particularly where women are concerned, but I only have his comments 
and the last two seasons of Angel to go by.
