Oh, you love it! Admit it! :)

but the stories are on the Wayback Machine.

Yes, this takes you to a nice display of the index page as of June 8th,
2002. (This version, unlike the current site, has a content warning on
"You Used To Be Mine", btw.)

I have verified that all 13 parts of "Are You Sure?" and the seven available parts of "The Dark And The Light" are there.

They're all on the index page, it's true, but whenever I click any link
on this page
(links tested:

"You Used To Be Mine", Part 9
"Forward Momentum", Part 3
"And So It Began", Part 2
"Are You Sure?", Parts 2, 3, and 7
"The Dark and the Light", Part 2)

I get a "Not In Archive" page. Having previously viewed archive.org's
entire listing of pages from www.chimerabloom.com, I know that most of
these are there, but when I try and find "Are You Sure?", Part 7 by
typing "http://www.chimerabloom.com/areyousure7.htm"; in the search box,
I get a "0 pages found" response. Ditto for "The Dark and the Light",
which would be archived at
"http://www.chimerabloom.com/archius2.htm";this also returns 0 pages
found.

This frustrated me, and I was about to send this email with a word of
inquiry/complaint, until I made a last attempt to deduce how you
"verified" the pages, and it proved (I guess) correct.

What you didn't mention, and what other people might need to know, is
that the way to do this is not to click on the (non-working) links, nor
is it to follow archive.org's prompt and search for the pages in their
archive.

What needs to be done in cases like this, is to take the working archive
index page and simply replace last part with the name of the page you
want, changing "/myfiction.htm" to "/areyousure7.htm" or "/archius2.htm"
or whatever.
I did not know this, as most of the time, the archived page links
directly to the other archived pages, or else you can search for them.
Good to know.

Dan
