Well, as has been said, American high schools have a lot of coaches, 
and I don't remember anyone specifically named the football coach, 
so...

Which season does this take place in, BTW?  I'd guess Season 2, 
since football season is in the fall.  Or, are you just getting 
Buffy to Sunnydale earlier?

Enjoyed the first chapter, and looking forward to the next one.
