Hmm, I think they still rememberd. It was just shock after such an event and the fact that they're both girls and best friends that made them jump to the 'I don't remember' thing. I mean, Buffy looked Willow in the eyes and said it, not looked around in confusion and Willow shook her head in whatever way she did, not asking what had gone on and all that. And in the ep, everyone remembered pretty much what they'd done when it was over. I might be wrong though.
