I'm Linkin' in the Rain...

Okay, so there's no rain in L.A., but I did put up a link to Rainne's
site, among many others, so&all right, it's still a lame pun.

Here's what I've added to the Links lately:

(See, I have an excuse for not sending feedback! I've been busy!
Except that I probably had time for fb, too&oh, well. Still, one out
of two is better than most of my favorite sports teams are doing these
days&*sigh*.)

Er, yeah, linkage.

In "Fic Archives: Multi-Author", I've added links to

" Much About Buffy
This is a French-language site that contains two fics written in that
language. Enjoy, francophones! (Others can use Google's translator,
which tends to turn female pronouns into "it" or "him", which makes the
f/f scenes really weird. <g>)

Also found a site which has some of Carlos Ferriera's French
translations of B/W fics, but didn't put that up yet. Perhaps site with
translations only should be a separate project.

" N. Petrenko's Femslash Page

Contains several fics from Hunter Ash, including part of the "Red Moon"
series (which is B/W/T, but still&)

" Shoujo-Ai Archive

This is an archive for anime-based fic, but it has a page for non-anime,
as well. Two B/W fics, one of which is Matthias Engel's Buffy/Slayers
crossover that you may remember, and the other is a
Wishverse!Buffy/Souled-vamp!Willow fic. Both are unfinished though.

(The Wishverse fic is a semi-sequel to a post-"Chosen" Willow/Tara fic,
but the events of that timeline don't really seem to have any effect on
the Wishverse fic, so you can skip it if you want.)

" Slightly Over The Edge

Trinity Last's Buffy/anyone site contains B/W fics from four authors,
and B/W/T from another.

" Syrenslure's Fanfiction
Decided to put Jenn's site back up because even though these are the
exact same fics she also has on her Love at Stake site, this site
doesn't use frames and the fics are in a different order on the page.
So I figured I'd let people decide which site they'd rather visit.

(Actually, the fortunecity address where Jen previously hosted this site
is still active, too, and IMO it's the best design of the three, but I
thought having essentially the same page at three different addresses
was a bit of overkill, so I left that one out, as there are more fics at
the new site, just not any more B/W fics than were at the old one.
Still, if you want to use Google" to search fortunecity.com for this
site, be my guest.)

" The Buffy Place

Stephanie's site hasn't been updated since the last election year, but
it has several of Sam Koala's fics, including the "Slayer's Dilemma"
series.

" The Wonderful World of Make-Believe

Almost entirely m/m slash, but a few B/W, a couple that were supposed to
include B/W but haven't gotten there yet, and one rather, ahem, extreme
B/W series where Willow is mystically bound as a sex slave to a
part-demon Buffy.

(Note, this is the old site, as the new one relies on authors uploading
their fics and none of these have been moved over to there.)

" WriterCon Archive:

An archive for selected works of authors who attended July's WriterCon
in Las Vegas, including our own The Bear and Crys Loch. (Also a
must-read: "Into the Desert" by Lizbeth MarcsB/W/X to its core,
although the sexual undertones are kept mostly "off-screen".)

However, the site (and presumably the 'Con) are also chockful of Spuffy,
so be prepared if you're averse.

In the "Fic Sites: Author's pages" section, I've added links to:

" Amberina's site, which contains four B/W fics.

" Andy Stoffel's blog, Standing On Boxes, which has "The Two", in its
various stages of development.

" A site (called "Willow's Girls") by someone I've named "Been Here
1000yrs" (since that's their email, and their name isn't on the site),
with three fics by the owner, two of which are B/W.

Btw, I remember visiting the site when it was announced (either here or
on another list) and still under construction. If the owner/author is
still here, please let us know who you are, so I can give you proper
credit, even if it's just your pen name.

" the new address for Jin Hayte's site

" Kez's site, Kez'Den.

This contains a B/W fic and a B/W drabble, and I don't think I've seen
them anywhere else.

" Matt's Page of Slashy Fun

Two B/W fics by Matt (aka RiteRaith).
A while back, we had some discussion about whether it was realistic that
B/W usually come out without much trouble or prejudice, which put me in
mind of the last time that subject came up, back in November of '01.
Looking over those posts, I found that someone had pointed out that
Matt's story "One Day At a Time" did feature Buffy coming out to her
family and friends and getting a less-ideal, perhaps more-common,
reaction. Since I hadn't seen the fic in the Links, I went looking, but
couldn't find it (this was because I was a dummy and thought "RiteRaith"
was two words, not one). And, just today, I found it by accident.

(It was also pointed out that Gillian Shearer's "Rain" features Buffy
coming out to Willow and getting rejected. And that after the Nov. '01
discussion, angel ruiz [aka Will Maclay] wrote a similar fic. So those
who want to read this take have a few options. [And for those who like
their B/W cheerier, all three authors fixed things in their sequels
<g>.])

" Nykademis's Archive

Not complete, as she's kept writing after she's stopped updating, but a
good start.

" Chance of Rainne

Rainne's site. I linked directly to the B/W page, but I'm sure she'd
like you to know it's easy to find her B/G fics from there, too. (Oh,
and as I see you're now posting the B/G fic you've been working on to
those lists [yeah, I knowfeedback's coming, I swear!], that means
you'll be able to write that B/W you've been promising us, right,
Rainne? Right? [nudge, nudge, nag, pester& <g>])

In "Fics: Random Stories", I've added links to the following:

" "A Friend In Hand", by Tigress

After "Pangs" B/W are lonely, then come together. Fairly standard S4
fic.

" "Access", by Willow Fairy

Pure PWP. One of Buffy's short skirts in "I Only Have Eyes For You"
gives Willow (and the author) ideas.

" "Divergence", by OneTwoMany

A Spuffy author's entry into a "Normal Again" ficathon. What if there
was a Willow in the Asylumverse? (Well, IMO, it undercuts the ep's idea
of Willow as "a trap for [Buffy's] mind", an idealized fantasy friend
she's constructed to escape reality, but the fic's still good.)

" "Finally", by Kat

This one was posted here, about 2 years ago. More S4 "I need to tell
her, but how?" fic, heavy on the angst, but enjoyable. Say, Kat,
weren't you gonna write more fic for us?

" "Lovely, Dark, and Deep", by Melusina

Very well written, but disturbing to me for reasons I can't explain
without spoiling it.

" "Remember Me", by Slayurheart

Tear-jerker with B/W as an already-established couple. My favorite of
the bunch. (Yes, I'm a sap.) I found this through a message board
where the author posted another, shorter B/W and she says she has more
on her computer, but I can't find them anywhere else on the web. Will
email and see if she wants to post them here.

" "Truth Comes Out", by Jeanny

Comedy fic written as a jab at all the "I'm gay!" declarations in S5.
Angel spells things out a little more explicitly in "Doppelgangland".
Just barely on topic, but, hey, funny.

" "Voices at Twilight", by Perky Paduan

Dawn's P.O.V. as B/W come together in early S7. Knocked out in an hour
on a challenge by a Harry Potter m/m slash author.

" "Willow Has Two Diaries", by Glimmergirl

&and why she bought the second one. Set in S1, very sweet.

There are more to come (I know there are a few other fics at
adultfanfiction.net, including another Willow/CaveSlayer fic), but
that's enough for now.

Remember, you can find all of these links (and many more!) by visiting
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/buffywantswillow/links and this address is
in the footer of every email you receive from the list. Enjoy!

Dan

P.S. With over a dozen Willow/CaveSlayer fics in existence, maybe I
(or someone) should make a site just for them, heh?

"Buffy want site!!" Oh, great, nowwww look what I've started&
