Jay, 

So glad to see you back! After not seeing anything for a while after Within and Without, I was afraid we weren't going to see anymore fiction from you. This was amazing in it's expression of how deeply the love Willow and Buffy had for each other was buried. At least within themselves. Everyone else can see it, but they chalk their actions up to a drunken night and some high-schoolish type dare. You seem to be able to capture the denial they have over their feelings for each other. Also, interesting twist on the Vampire with honor. I liked the idea of a Vampire who doesn't kill to feed, it kills to keep it's town safe from crime. As for the ending, yes I was disappointed that things weren't tied up, but that's life. Not everything ends up tidy with a little bow around it. But that's why the sequel was created. To tie up loose ends.
