Bwah!  I can totally see Giles spluttering and being outraged that Anya
had even raised the issue, but then setting his jaw and rising to her
bait by putting his money where his mouth was.  Or, as it turned out,
putting his money where her purse was, thanks to Buffy and Willow's
mouths&

Also loved the note about Cave!Buffy overcoming her fear of fire to save
Willow at the Grotto.  We don't see her cringe from it in the ep, but
you're right, she must have the same instincts as the other
Neanderthals.  Good subtext-spot.
