Part 1 - Pumpkin Pie anyone?
On a dark, dark night, in a dark, dark town, in a dark, dark
warehouse, with a dark, dark plan, lived a dark, dark person, called
Faith. She was a Vampire Slayer. A Vampire Slayer with only one
obsession on her mind: She was plotting an evil scheme to eliminate
her enemies once and for all.
Her plan was ingenious. Trap her enemies within a pumpkin for all
eternity. On the checklist were dozen's of names, but her main
agenda was to rid herself of Buffy Summers, The "other" Vampire
Slayer. Any of the other Scooby gang members would be an added
bonus.
If this was going to work, Faith needed to collect all the
ingredients and necessary objects that would make her succeed in her
plan, including a certain Witch to cast the spell. One name came to
mind: Willow Rosenberg. The greatest part of all was that Willow
would be sending her beloved Buffy to spend all eternity inside a
pumpkin and there wasn't anything she could do about it.
The whole thing had being going according to plan so far. Faith had
organized a gang of vampires to hijack a truck loaded with pumpkins
to be delivered to her warehouse earlier that week. She was calling
it hers nowadays.
Using the warehouse she had dusted Kakistos in when she first came
to town was one of the more intelligent idea's Faith had come up
with. That and her plan to capture her enemies and place them
inside a pumpkin for all time. Faith was on a role.
Faith looked over the warehouse and admired her sinister work as she
headed out the door. Her next stop was to pick up an old friend to
take out with her tonight. She left her cronies behind to start
setting up for the next phase of her plan.

It was not like Willow to be late. Buffy checked her watch and
realized her girlfriend was half an hour overdue, and expected to at
least have heard from her girlfriend by now. They were supposed to
be meet Xander and Anya at the movies to watch a double horror
feature. She decided to go meet up with her friends in case Willow
had mistaken her and thought they were all meeting at the cinema.
It was Halloween night and everything in Sunnydale seemed to be
going smooth sailing, as far as Demon's and the like were
concerned. A little time off from the slaying duties is what Buffy
and her friends needed, what with Faith going all crazy on them a
few weeks ago.
Faith had flipped out a few weeks before. No one had seen it coming,
she had just arrived in Sunnydale and everything was going great,
then this, this betrayal. Buffy had known PMS for Slayers was bad
enough, but Faith had taken it to an all new level.
The gang had been trying to anticipate her next move, but so far
nothing had come of it. The one night a year that Buffy was
supposed to have off since becoming The Slayer, had not exactly gone
according to plan so far. She had a funny feeling that this night
was going to be no different.
By the time she arrived at the cinema, it was time for the show to
start. She noticed Xander and Anya were waiting outside and there
was still no sign of Willow. It was as if the entire world had gone
wonky, as Willow was almost never late. This could only mean one
thing. Something or someone was plotting something this Halloween
night and if her gut instincts were correct, this something or
someone had Willow. Buffy was going to get to the bottom of this
and now.

She thought back to how easy it had been, waiting behind a tree and
stepping out as the girl left her house. A simple punch had
rendered Willow unconscious.
Things were going somewhat well for Faith, as all she needed now was
for the sleeping girl to wake up, so she would begin the ritual to
rid Sunnydale of her enemies. Her plan was to eliminate Buffy first
while her Vampire cronies rounded up the rest of her intended
victims.
Faith knew she would kill two birds with one stone by taking the
witch this way, Buffy was bound to show up to try and rescue
Willow.
She could see it now; Buffy trying to be the hero of the world,
again, would come charging in only to be taken captive inside a
pumpkin as her beloved Willow is forced to mutter the incantation of
the spell to do it.
With the unconscious girl over her shoulder, Faith walked through
town and headed back to the warehouse. In a few short minutes her
plan would begin to unfold.
*****B/W*****
Buffy spotted a familiar figure heading up the main street of town.
It was Faith, and she was carrying something over her shoulder. If
that was who Buffy thought it was with Faith, things were going to
be solved much faster than she had anticipated.
Endangering Willow's life was pretty much the final straw for Buffy
in the feud with Faith. The brunette girl was going to pay dearly
for this and Buffy was just the Slayer to do it.
Buffy strolled straight up behind Faith and took Willow swiftly,
handing her over to Xander, before Faith had even realized what had
happened. Xander and Anya managed to contract Willow out of the way
of danger and over to the bench in front of the Espresso Pump,
before the sparring match between Faith and Buffy started up.
The first punch was thrown by Faith; no words even passed between
the two girls. Violence was the only objective on both of their
minds at this moment.
For Faith, her plans were ruined in one single stupid moment. She
was only a few blocks away from the warehouse where everything was
waiting and ready to go. She was mentally kicking herself for
this. Soon she would physically kick Buffy's ass, for ruining her
plans for this Halloween night.
Buffy on the other hand, had been plain lucky. Finding her
girlfriend's kidnapper within moments of realizing something was
even up was definitely of the lucky. The fact that it was Faith was
bad enough. The thought of what she might have planned for the
town was another story; words were not going to be used this time.

Watching this event from the sidewalk was Anya, Xander and a now
awakened Willow. The Slayers were going at it left, right and
centre. The only thing that could explain their behaviors was the
full moon that happened to be out this evening. The two Slayers
were taken over with a rage none of the others had seen before now.
Faith had lost the plot a long time ago; she was a few eggs short of
her Slayer egg basket. Buffy was just protecting what was hers and
in this case that was Willow. The fight didn't have any indication
of ending any time soon. The two Slayers were oblivious to
anything that was going on around them. They didn't even notice a
truck coming down the street at full speed heading directly for them.
Willow noticed it just in time and called out to Buffy to get out of
the way. With Slayer speed and the fact that Willow's voice had
pulled Buffy out of her trance of rage she had been in during the
fight, Buffy just near by avoided the collision with the truck.
Faith wasn't so lucky. Even for a Slayer's reflexes, and strength,
Faith's body couldn't survive the impact. She was killed instantly
right there in the middle of the road.
The truck stopped instantly after the accident and the driver hopped
out and couldn't believe what had just occurred. He was making a
routine delivery to the Espresso Pump; his truck loaded with
containers of coffee and supplies for the store. He dialed 911 on
his cell phone and remained with the body.
Buffy, who was holding a distraught Willow, stood shocked on the
sidewalk, taking in what just went down.
*****B/W*****
It was by far the strangest Halloween experience any of the four
ever encountered. A new Slayer would already have been called by
now. Buffy would have to report to Giles shortly to inform him of
what took place this evening.
She wrapped her arms around Willow and gave the girl a kiss on the
forehead. Telling her how much she loved her and how happy she was
to have her back in her arms again.
From now on Buffy promised she would take better care of Willow and
watch her more closely in the future. There was no way she was
going to let anything like this happen to the girl she loved, ever
again.
The Paramedics arrived and took Faith's body away to the morgue. It
was inevitable; all Slayers would eventually end up that way, some a
little sooner than others. Faith had been one of those who went a
little sooner; she had died not in battle fighting evil, the way
most Slayers go, but by being run over by a coffee delivery truck.
Buffy couldn't work out the irony in that.
As she turned away from the Ambulance and back to her friends, she
caught sight of an advertisement in the window of the Espresso
Pump. `What the heck,' Buffy thought to herself.
"Pumpkin Pie anyone?"
The End.
Cheers
