Hey, you think May is a long time since you last released a fic?  I
haven't sent one out since June&of 2002!

Anyway&

Nice start, although in my more bitter state I might argue that by being
recognizably Buffy, you've written the Slayer as out of character for
S7.  I mean, thinking she should apologize?  Treating Willow like a
friend?  None of that in the actual eps, y'know.  (You'll note that in
the dialogue you lifted from the final scene of "Get It Done", Buffy
comes near to an apology, but doesn't say the words, and the scene gets
turned around so Willow ends up validating Buffy's IMO awful behavior,
just as they made her do in "Same Time, Same Place".)  Ah, well, should
probably save the griping for the Spuffy parts&

Nice bit of working Buffy's subconscious W/K anxiety into her Slayer
dream (just like her subconscious noting of Chloe's fragility).  And one
of the delightful things about Kennedy is that she's open enough to say
what's on her mind, so it's not a stretch to think she might take her
irritation at Willow's loyalty to Buffy and make the obvious conclusion.
And once someone notices the elephant in the room, the fun begins,
hee-hee.

Points also for having Buffy's losing-Willow nightmare combine all the
elements:  vampires, Dark Willow, The First.  One thing, though,
although we never saw it on the show, Willow might not have to die for
The First to take her form, since Willow was arguably just as dead in
"Halloween" as Buffy was in "Prophecy Girl".  To be fair, Buffy might
not grasp this point.  (As it is, Buffy might not have understood that
the First could take *her* form until it appeared to her that way in
"Chosen", as there's no indication Spike ever told her about this.
Probably a missed opportunity for the First, but that's nothing new,
either. [Ditto also for impersonating Spike, which AFAWK Spike never
told anyone about, either.  Apparently being an old evil doesn't make
you a smart evil.])

Finally, I liked the compulsively-showering gag, although my dirty mind
imagined another reason why Buffy might be running to the bathroom after
thinking sexy Willow-thoughts.  Bad mind, bad! ;)

that "Courier" font is what you were going for, and it takes up a lot of
