there's nothing wrong with Kristy as such, she's very good in films like Higher Learning (and gorgeous! her lesbian scene with Jennifer Connelly in that film was divine). she just didn't have the script to work with. hell, look at SMG in Simply Irresistable, she can't rescue that whatever she does!

 but Movie Buffy was Cordelia (as she admits in Helpless. and Joyce admits in Fear Itself that she used to be a social butterfly as she was in the movie and as we can judge from Band Candy). now we grew to love Cordy and she was great but it took maybe 11eps for that to happen, up until then you couldn't have based a 2hr film around her
