Oh, W/T counts, but I'm referring to who's fans write more stories,
and keep the ship sailing.  The Fuffies are a model that I think every
femmeslash ship could learn from.  Now, granted, they have the
subtextual advantage over every ship that wasn't actual canon, but,
one of their characters wasn't on the show for three years.  Yet, that
didn't stop the ship, which just kept cruising along.  They don't get
hostile towards other ships, just stay happily assured that theirs is
the OTP.  So, they write.  And write.  And write.  And, they post,
everywhere that will let them.  If there's femmeslash there, there'll
be Fuffy.  And (and this is VERY significant to how they've taken over
BtVS Femmeslash), anyone who's just discovered Buffy fic in the last
four years or so has had their first non-Kitteny exposure to BtVS
femmeslash be Fuffy.  And, now that the Kittens have mostly withdrawn
to their own fortress, um, I mean board...
