Hello Everybody,

Addressing the lack of traffic on the board.  In the beginning, traffic came from two causes.

One, fanfiction.  Both the posting of and the responses to.

Two, the current Buffy episode.  We discussed everything about them.  How shippy it was, the great scenes, the missing scenes, the 'Oh my god, why didn't she just kiss her right then and there?' scenes.

Therein lies the problem.  We've lost half our topics.  More really, as the latest episode often inspired some to write fics to get the shippiness back or exaggerate what shippiness was there.

Now we're reduced to writing fics for a defunct show.  This shouldn't stop us, but it naturally will slow us down.  We've lost the goad we were used to getting twenty-two times a year.  Sure, we can pop a DVD in and get our own inspiration, but it's not quite the same.  And while I'm looking at WttH, you may be looking at 'Chosen' so we've still lost the inspirational discussion on the board.

I have an odd idea.  We could go through the series again, right here on the board.  Every week (every Tuesday?) we all pop our DVDs in and watch the same episode.  Then come here to discuss the shippiness.  We could plan to do just the first two seasons--which predate this board so weren't ever discussed here--or plan to do the entire series all over again.

Think about it.  While a few brave souls saw Wiffy possibilities as early as season two, support for the ship didn't really hit its stride until season four.  So everything before then is still largely unexplored...from a Wiffy point of view.

And maybe someone will be inspired.
