I have been away from this group for over a year and I came back to 
read a post that a friend recommended. But while browing the forum, 
looking for any posts from another old friend (who I had lost contact 
with), I came across the sad news that she had passed away. 

I had the pleasure to beta for Alex through 2001-2002 and the Justice 
Deferred fic is one of my all-time favourite stories. Not just because 
of the wonderful, vibrant story but because I knew how much that story 
meant to Alex. I knew how much emotion Alex put into it. 

Alex was a fighter, who gave me inspiration and strength in my own 
life. A wonderful, warm human being, someone who always had time for 
others when they needed a shoulder to lean on. I will miss Alex dearly.

Love and blessings, Alex, may you rest in peace. I hope you are now 
reunited with your Cheryl. Your positive impact will never be forgotten.
