As the saying goes... it's gonna be tricky (The third 'Keeper' book has
references to Buffy as a tv show). Not sure how well it will work
myself but I hope my approach works :-).

Well... I'm hoping I don't go too far in that direction. I've set this
at a point when she did seem to be more together than the season before
(6) and the second half of Season 7. I think the whole "First Evil"
thing in 7 destroyed a lot of the progress she made after Willow 's
melt-down at the end of 7. The First won't be joining the crew for this
little cross-country jaunt... so I think it'll work :-).
