Tater is quite correct.  Up to 66% of female competitive athletes have either primary or secondary amenorrhea.  (Primary amenorrhea is the absence of menstruation by the age of 16 in a girl with secondary sex characteristics.  Secondary amenorrhea is...the absence of three or more consecutive menstruation cycles.)  The causes of amenorrhea are many and may include low caloric intake, strenuous training, low body fat, low weight, genetic disposition, stress, or an eating disorder.

Buffy is definately subject to strenuous training, low body fat, low weight, and stress.  Actually she goes beyond strenuous training and deep into fighting for her very life on a daily basis.  And the risk of losing a competition doesn't hold a candle to the stress of being responsible for the fate of the world.

IMHO, slayer infertility is almost a given.
