'The Witch' Discussion

Okay, so not a big Wiffy ep and not much discussion so far.  In the 
interest of playing in list traffic and so keeping posts hopping here, 
I'll post something anyway.

The die is cast now and we have an idea of what we're in for.  (at least 
in the high school years)  There will be mysteries at school and not all 
the bad guys will be vampires.  There will be humor.  There will be 
action.  There will be near death experiences.  (between actual deaths, 
but that's later)  Willow and Xander will jump in to help whether Buffy 
likes it or not.  (Buffy will quickly warm to the idea of Willow helping 
her whenever possible)  The three will annoy Giles to no end.  We now 
have the Slayer and her Slayerettes, later renamed the Scoobies after 
clearing some copyright issues I'm sure.  It's too bad the job of 
Slayerette didn't include a short skirt sequined costume of some kind.  
I'm sure Xander has nice legs.  We will have role reversals.  (Willow is 
one of the guys, Xander is one of the girls) 

Things that impressed- Giles didn't hesitate in the spell though it 
required pain and taking his energies; Willow and Xander didn't hesitate 
to confront and stall a known danger; Buffy never stopped using her 
brain to figure it out despite a weakened and even fatale condition. 

Wiffy moments- Willow was clearly relieved that Buffy only saw Xander as 
one of the girls, and if she's one of the guys, maybe Buffy will be into 
her.  Willow was terrified at the thought of losing Buffy already and 
was so sweet with the care-taking.

A theory- Amy's father brings out the angry witch in women.  First mom 
went round the bend.  Then, after spending years of quality time with 
dad... well, we find out later what happened to poor Amy.  Some might 
say 'nature', but there's that whole other camp for 'nurture'.

There, some more traffic.  I hope no one was hit.
