wow...ok.  dawn is buffy's made-up sister who was made
by the monks from the living energy known as the key
(glory's way of getting back to her hell dimension)
and they gave her and everyone connected with buffy
memories of dawn's childhood.  That's very abbreviated

"No place like home" is the episode where they
explain most of the whole key thing.  If you know
someone with season 5 dvd set or taped them you might
want to borrow there's or read the transcript.  Hope
