Ok I admit that my emotions and mouth get away from me sometimes -
but I've been watching BBC-America off and on at work all day and I
am totally amazed at the dignity of the people in the UK. The people
who were in the blasts and how they helped each other. The BBC's
intense desire to get the facts as they came, compared to CNN, Fox
News, and MSNBC's distortions and smarmy manipulation of rumors. Seeing
the NEWS brought forth without a hidden agenda was completely
shocking to me because I'd gotten used to the American Media's
slanting things towards conservative issues instead of just reporting
the facts.
But what will always stay in my mind are the interviews done with the
victims, the quiet grief, the pain, and yet the willpower not to be
frightened into submission. The strength to demand justice, not
revenge. The willingness to be patient and let the police do their
jobs, gather the evidence, and not to dance off needlessly striking
out in frustration. Again, the difference between justice and revenge.
You will be in my prayers and in my thoughts for a long time to
come. The people in the UK are examples of courage for the rest of
the world to admire and emulate.
