Wiffy Amnesia Fics

Hello Everybody!

There are two major Wiffy fic series that have Buffy and Willow already in  
a relationship when Buffy is stricken with amnesia.  Shyfox's "Sappho's  
Spell" and Janine's "And It All Became So Clear" (That's the name of the  
first part, at least, if not the series as a whole.)

They both do something that always bothered me.  When Buffy gets amnesia,  
everyone hides the Wiffy 'ship from her.  They tell her that Willow's her  
best friend but no more.  Sure, I guess it's supposed to be romantic that  
Buffy still falls in love with her all over again, but it seems ridiculous  
to hide that.  In real life, you don't hide romantic relationships from  
amnesia victims.  True, you don't expect them to immediately be intimate  
with someone who is, to them, a perfect stranger but you don't hide the  
'ship entirely!

If you write a amnesia fic, please don't do that.  If I were to write one,  
I'd have Buffy have a straight self-image so that, when everyone tells her  
that she and Willow are a couple, it seems impossible to her.  As she  
relearns just how important that little redhead is to her, she has to deal  
with loving Willow despite her gender.  The whole "love the person, not  
the plumbing" thing.

A partial amnesia arc is in the series that starts with "The Dying Of The  
Light" by Kirayoshi.  The Wiffy isn't hidden in this one.
