Ah, if only he knew how to follow the conventions of English-language narrative fiction. I'm sorry, I refuse to read this pseudo-script stuff--I'll save my time for someone who bothers to learn how to write a proper story.

Honestly, I normally agree with you.  I even wrote to the author saying such.  But, by the second chapter, I was so hooked on the story I was more than willing to endure the script format.  The story rises above its limited presentation and is still better than a lot of the dreck that's out there.

True, script format is limited, but it's a valid writing style.  And it's very popular in fanfic.  If it's done right and everyone is in character--sadly rare to find--further descriptions aren't needed because it *is* fan fic.  You already know the characters as well as the author does.  It's the large number of crap fics where the characterizations were beyond pathetically poor that have given the format its bad rep.  This isn't one of those.

Read the first two chapters and then tell me it isn't worth it.
