Not sure if I watched it when it was originally broadcast (I do
remember it being on) and I certainly don't remember any
episodes/plots...

But after a couple episodes tonight ... so far, so good... it
seems to be mostly about the relationships... with a chase or
two thrown in... none of that fancy/flashy stuff you see on tv
now-a-days in a cop show.

(The DVD set doesn't include the pilot or any of the pre-Sharon
Gless Cagney episodes. So we jump right into their relationship.
The Wiki claims this should be labeled Season 2, not 1 because
of that. It was a mid-Season replacement like Buffy.) 

Tyne Daly looked really young back then wasn't she... 

Ah, the crossover plot bunnys...

So... Cagney has blonde hair... related to Joyce Summers?
Sister? Too much of a cliche?
