Creators always attempt to destroy their creations. It's the way  
things work.

I don't blame Joss for all of the problems with seasons 6 and 7. Might  
have
been his ideas but they were not always executed in a coherent/good  
way. (And
the show really shouldn't have gone on so long. But that's a different  
issue.)

I've been buying the Season 8 comics but I haven't read the last few.  
Government
conspiracies are not my favorite plot device.

What keeps me in the fandom is fan fiction. While so much of it is still
crap written badly there's the occasional gem.

What attracted me to writing BtVS fan fiction (when I actually write) is
the desire to give Buffy (and Willow, and Dawn, and others) a better  
ending
than the show did. It doesn't have to be hugs and puppies, parades or  
roses,
but these characters deserve better.

It's not hopeless yet. No matter what Joss does to the blonde and the  
redhead.
