Thank you.
So long as you weren't stuck in the same cave as The Bear.

I think they may have shots for that. I'm not sure.
You misunderstand me. Faith/ Buffy would be marvelous if what I cared
to explore was character generated angst. They have wonderful
potential to have a tumultuous short term relationship.
But most of us that've been around the block a couple of times know
that if you stick fire and water together what you get is a flash of
steam. Steam can be amazing fun, but if you try to go further with it
you just--well, you get the idea.
You have to initiate some sort of major personality change to keep
them together for more than steam.
And there's my point.

And not dating Buffy. What I meant was that he'd be a huge liability.
She'd have to protect him and for the male ego that could grow thin.

For the majority of the fandom it would not be the loss of a beloved
key character.

Rabid Bangels were most 10-14 year old girls when the initial romance
aired. I could care less.

*rolls eyes*
Yeah, okay... It almost sounds like you were poking fun. Though, you
placed me with some fairly pleasant company. I'll take it as a
compliment and move on. ;)

My point... Well, you put it more eloquently than I did in the
paragraph above--at least part of it. The remainder is that I cannot
generate that much passion over a television program. I do love the
characters in my own eccentric way. However, I appreciate the idea
that they are simply characters and that depending on who's 'pen' they
fall under they can be manipulated to do anything from playing
tiddlywinks to *cringe* screwing Spike. You need only pick what you
enjoy.
