The characterization of the Scoobies felt a little...off; all of them were so coldly rational about one of their own, even lifelong friends like Xander. I'd have expected the Watchers to have pulled the stunt behind Buffy's back or something. I'll buy it in this context though...it makes for a chillingly bizzaro AU.
