Though I suppose that was the point of rewriting it. *grin* I don't know why, but the darkness of this fic is so damn compelling. Traumatic and disturbing of course, but I find myself absolutely loving this story. Probably because there aren't that many people who are brave/willing enough to delve into themes as dark as sexual abuse in childhood, and do it in a tasteful manner. So, kudos for that. The only slight inconsistency as far as I can tell has to do with Dawn (as Buffy grows "too old" for Hank the normal progression --if you can call it that-- would be for him to move on to his younger daughter, not to stop altogether), but I guess it was necessary in order for the story to flow like it was supposed to. Is there going to be a sequel to this? I'd really like to see it!
