Loved the rewrite. Loved the original too, but I think I actually preferred this newer version. Though I suppose that was the point of rewriting it. *grin* I don't know why, but the darkness of this fic is so damn compelling. Traumatic and disturbing of course, but I find myself absolutely loving this story. Probably because there aren't that many people who are brave/willing enough to delve into themes as dark as sexual abuse in childhood, and do it in a tasteful manner. So, kudos for that.
Beautifully compelling story and wonderfully written. Keep up the good work, and thank you for sharing this with us.

Loved it! The only slight inconsistency as far as I can tell has to do with Dawn (as Buffy grows "too old" for Hank the normal progression --if you can call it that-- would be for him to move on to his younger daughter, not to stop altogether), but I guess it was necessary in order for the story to flow like it was supposed to. Is there going to be a sequel to this? I'd really like to see it! |
