Buffy appears to be the slayer--enhanced strength and senses--yet hasn't been bothered by any supernatural forces. Willow's thoughts betrayed nothing about the slayer being missing for the last ten years. Did Buffy die at some point or does this AU allow more than one slayer at a time? The wheelchair is definately going to add a bit of angst. Buffy already thinks that she'll never find love. But how will Willow react? Wheelchairs tend to make people uncomfortable. I'd expect her to not know what to say or how to act and worry about saying or doing something that would offend Buffy. The characterizations are spot-on, everyone seems so much like themselves... if the world had been a little different. I can certainly hear the characters in your dialogue, so kudos there as well. In The Two, there is a lot of semi-flirting but only gestures towards relationship direction. That's fair, and considering their positions, very realistic and appropriate. I'll enjoy this story however you write it, but I have to admit that I would love to see some actual dating/early relationship material early in this story. Since neither of these characters is laboring under the same layer of reluctance for contact or mutual suspicion as they are in The Two, dating seems a natural environment for the story to move into. I would just love to see what you could do with their romance. In any case, thank you for writing your story and sharing it with us.
