Reviews for Spectrum Series Part Two: Forge

Looks like this is a study of the Aftermath and how everyone is coping. Willow's post-traumatic behavior is quite believable and her frustration of being dependent and scared and not wanting to be is obviously affecting Buffy too. Still, it's all pretty fresh and raw for the both of them so maybe they'll deal with that later when they have to. Poor Giles and Xander. It's clear they're both missing the simple pleasure of being together with their friends but the changes wrought by Willow's rape obviously run deep. Xander's musings about what to name the pair was an amusing diversion. Billow...Buffow...heh...I think he picked everything but 'Wiffy'. Great to see Faith. She makes a crackin' bouncer! Now, why would Spike go out of his way to find her...Is he actually concerned about Willow? Hmmm... It'll be interesting to see what Faith does with the news that she and a former 'enemy' now have something in common.

Great continuation and look forward to more.

Absolutely brilliant; one of my all-time favorite series! Characterizations and interaction so genuine, complex and gritty, angsty and awful, funny, sweet and loving...yeah, complex!

jumping/catching scene: a perfect example of how effectively and wonderfully you've depicted the characterizations of B&W, their interaction and relationship, with strong imagery, powerful emotion, and a bit of humor . In that brief scene, we can see the love and trust between them, how much they need each other.. how even when they're suffering, they're trying to put the other's needs first . It also seems so in character, especially the image of Buffy as protector, and how we would expect the slayer would act and feel. Also shows that even out of something awful, wonderful things can bloom.

"my truth...is you" Willow saves Buffy...romantic and *so* brave(how ironic, in the context of the scene), especially after what's happened; like many such vivid scenes in this story, so revealing of Willow's character, strength, love and compassion.

Shifting POV very effective for revealing character as well as plot, and definitely adds to the humor.

MH, you ROCK!!!!

It's good to see that everybody is still being effected by what happened to Willow. I like how you brought Faith in the story also. Her working at a strip club is something I could so see her doing.

Ah, lovely hurt/comfort Wiffy goodness. And...Wow. That's some neat little pencil trick Will's got! Good job she didn't do that on a human, the results would've been...messy. Loved the dark humour. 'Beep-beep' indeed. And is that Buffy's super ultra most precious ever Mr Gordo Faith's using as a footrest? Ooooh Bad Faith! Bad bad Faith! I foresee many ouchies in her future.

Looking forward to the next part!

I couldn't read this the first time it came around, though I HOPE I've toughned up.

I enjoyed Spike's story and the reactions of the others to the story.

So glad your reposting this story.

Yes, we're still feeling grateful. Immensely grateful. The four stories in this cycle are simply outstanding. I think the reactions of the various characters are absolutely spot on. I can definately see Willow feeling nervous about her attempt at seduction. Wonderfully in character. It's a testament to you that I'm still looking forward to reading what comes next even though I know what happens next and could could easily go an read the whole story elsewhere. I'm certainly glad your work is getting a second airing.
