FIC: The Second Generation #3

Hiya all,

Finally there will be some conversation in the 2nd Generation J story, with the last members of the new team arriving on the scene and mingling in the early the morning with those already present. This is flow writing at its best/worst, no beta, no plot lines and no limits! So this story is very open for input <hint> <hint>

Catch you on the flipside

The Second Generation J

A.C. Lee is the son of Xander Harris and a Hong Kong police inspector named Anne and I really don’t know what to make of him, but in return I guess he is as baffled by me as I am by him.

I’m Danielle Harris by the way, adopted daughter of Anya Emerson and since she almost married Xander it makes me and A.C. siblings in some weird sense. We are all siblings if you ask me. There is myself, A.C., Willow and Faith all born or raised without a father or a mother.

Me and A.C. were both shipped here to this mansion in the middle of nowhere by Angel and Chase investigations, they, according to a nice lady named Cordelia, have been looking for us for quite some time now.

“You do the silent type thing well,” Danielle commented as she joined her stoic companion on balconies. It was still early and the only ones who had been up and about to greet them had been Willow Summers and Tara Maclay, they had shown them there rooms and then given them the tour. Ending on the balconies were they now stood and waited.

“I do not believe in wasting words,” A.C. replied in a low voice.

.           “Why do you think they brought us here?” Danielle asked.

“I came here to meet my father,” A.C. answered. “But it would guess it has something to do with the impending apocalypse,” he added.
Danielle smiled a sweet smile, but its effects were seemingly lost on her friend whom seemed very engrossed in the view, not her, the mountains that could be seen in the distance. Danielle was a short brown haired girl that possessed a pair of large brown eyes and a slim figure. She was what you’d call cute beyond words. A.C. on the other hand was tall and sculpted, with slightly oriental features and jet black hair that he kept slicked back and heavily greased.

“Did you just make a joke A.C.?” she asked with a grin.
“Perhaps,” he answered. “But I will never admit it,” he added.

“Too late I heard it too,” Faith said as she sauntered in a short cotton bathrobe onto the balconies with a cup of coffee nestled in her hands. “I’m Faith,” she said and stuck out her hand.

“Danielle,” Danielle said with a smile as she shook the offered hand. “And this is…” she started but was interrupted by the sight of A.C. who had seemingly straightened up and was looking very imposing in his black school uniform.

“Alexander Chang Lee,” A.C. said with a bow and a kiss on the back of Faith’s hand. “At your service,” he added. Danielle just stared wide eyed at her companion. Why hadn’t she gotten that kind of treatment? She thought to herself as she glanced down at her own school uniform that was of course at regulation length.

“Now I can tell you were raised by your mother,” Faith said with a loud laugh as she pulled her hand back.

“Will you keep it down Wild Thing,” Spike said as he staggered onto the balconies, wearing a red gentleman’s robe with his black hair was sticking up and out inall directions and his slippers making a thwacking sound against the floor of the balconies. He rubbed his forehead with one hand and held fizzing glass of water in the other.

“Ignore him, he’s just grumpy cause he’s back among the living, literally,” Faith said in a high pitched voice and Spike growled at her.

“Now, now everybody play nice and don’t poke fun at the resident zombie,”Willow stated as she walked onto the balconies with a hand firmly on her hip. “We are here to do a job after all,” she added. The resolve face she worewas somewhat dulled by the fact that she wore bunny pajamas with feet and had a teddy bear under her arm.

“A job?” A.C. asked seemingly back to his old stoic self.

“Killing vampires,” Faith explained pointedly over the rim of her coffee cup. “When they get done with their little infighting thing that is,” she added.

“Oh that,” A.C. nodded thoughtfully as he crossed his hands over his chest. “Areyou insane?” he then asked without missing a beat or raising his voice.

“No just second generation bloody slayers,” Spike cursed and then gulped down the contents of his glass and burped heartily.

“And resurrected vampires,” Willow chirped with a grin.

“Yeah would somebody explain that bit?” Danielle asked. “It has been kind of confusing me and I don’t like that, at all!”

“Well short version: Spike was a bad ass vampire for two hundred odd years give or take…” Faith started.

“Then he met my mom,” Willow contiuned. “Picks up the good fight after mom knocks him around for a bit…”
“And then ends up getting staked in French and buried after a fashion,” Faith explained off-handedly and Willow picked up the story again.

“Now about three weeks ago, in a brilliant flash of light, he appears butt naked I might at and disorientated in the middle of an old vineyard,” Willow told the two new arrivals.

“Followed by a…” Faith started with a grin, but Spike interrupted her.

“… the irrepressible me going on a three week binge and somehow finding myself on the Slayer’s doorstep were this little minx drags me in and cleans me up,” Spike finished and pointed a thumb over his shoulder at Faith, whom just shruggedand smirked.

“This is all very fascinating,” A.C. stated. “But why us? Why not the old guard?” he asked.

“Because we are not getting any younger,” Buffy said from the doorway, causing the entire group to turn around. There in the doorway stood the remainders of the original and legendary Scooby Gang: Buffy Summers and Xander Harris, with Tara Maclay stirring her herbal tea in the background.

“Defending the world is a job for the young and we won’t be around forever,” Xander said in a voice that sounded very flat.
“We’ll help of course, but you are chosen just like we were,”
Tara said as she stepped forth. “So are you up to the task?” she asked.

We are all trying to decide what to do and the offer sounds great. I knew mom had something like this planned, but somehowI never suspected her to go through with it.
