Re: :Kris on acknowledging fb
Very well said, Kris!
I myself was mildly upset when some of my fb went unacknowledged. And I
try and give a response to everyone who writes me, although before I had
this job, I did that off-list. (In fact, I'll probably go back to
itI was just trying to pad the post count.)
BTW, if I missed thanking anyone who sent fb for "Where there's fire&"
my sincere apologies.
If you can't get around to replying to individual fb, may I suggest as
general note of thanks? Either to the list, or in the header of your
next fic. Bonus points for mentioning the names of the people who have
given you the feedback. Extra bonus points for working them into the
story, as some authors have been known to do (I was a keynote speaker in
a "Popular" fic! Yay me!).
I'd been planning to talk about the need for fics and the need for fb
(still hope to do those posts), but thanks for going one further and
pointing out the need for acknowledgement of feedback.
With gratitude,
Dan
