Yes, I am alive, no I've not been staked,
shot, strug up or generally tortured!! Just dealing with the adult world
in too many ways to go into right now ::shrug::
In so far as the season goes, I've heard
many complaints that season 6 should never have happened. Here's my short
take in three words: The human condition.
Here's my long take: It was all about humanity, folks. Buffy rising
from the grave and trying to fit into being a human again. Xander getting
cold feet at the altar. Giles moving to England to start a new life for
himself, Spike trying to show Buffy how human he can be, Riley coming back with
a wife showing that he's moved on with life, Buffy getting a real job, Dawn
repaying for her stealing bit. . . .it's all about being human in an inhumane
world. In a world where, most of the time, people just don't give a shit,
they do as they please and others sometimes have to deal with the consequences
(i.e. Buffy dealing with Willows decision in bringing her back from the
dead). It's all about what Spike said in OMWF:
Life's not a song
Life isn't bliss Life is just this - It's living. You'll get along The pain that you feel you only can heal - by living. You have to go on living. The hardest thing in this world is to live in it. And that truely is the hardest
thing. It's all about being tragically human, the choices we make, and how
we go on from point A to point B.
Joss began priming us for Dawn 2 years
before it actually happened. There was this enormous build up then wham. .
.it happened. In my humble opinion, the opposite is happening now.
We are 2 years from the final season. Season 10 is it from all the banter
and back and forth I've heard. . .so. . .I think we're now in a downward spiral
of sorts. Things are winding down, resolutions are being made, choices are
being accepted or dealt with in every way. It's the beginning of the end
of the road.
Just my two cents mind you
;)
Now...on to the spoilery stuff for Seeing
Red, Villans & Two To Go!!
