You know, people everywhere have been discussing Buffy/Spike as an

did. It matters that he did it to Buffy.

With Willow it's the case that they were best friends. And Willow suddenly
became her biggest enemy (for two episodes ;) ). I agree with you that's
the same thing as Angel going bad, and coming back. Sure, she can also
forgive Willow. But like with Angel, that'll take at least an episode of
B/W make-up time.
