Delurking to agree with Kimber and Kirayoshi

Hi all - I usually don't speak up but I had to chime in here for a
moment. I'm a firm believer that Joss has been using the story
construct known as The Hero's Journey. Specifically Vogler's for
episodic and seasonal structure and Campbellian for the overall series
arc.

In Campbell's structure she really has only 2 steps left "Master Of
the Two Worlds" and "Freedom To Live". Additionally a case can be made
for her following the "Hero As Word Redeemer" arc. The setup for S7 so
far still has me more than excited that these steps are in our hero's
future (along with the trademark Jossian pain of course).

Granted, S6 does leave little niggling doubts in my mind (along with a
poster on another list who continues to insist that the overall arc is
a tragedy in the 'classical' sense) but I am becoming more and more
certain that this season could seriously rock. * Crosses fingers and
toes *

RE Dan's rants - I tend to find them highly entertaining - and would
probably miss them if they were to go away. So rant on.
