Re: [Listmum's guide to 'Buffy The Vampire Slayer' Plott...

"Me, I think that Joss could show up at Dan's door with an unretouched
production still of Sarah and Aly in bed together and a script penned by
himself that logically explains that all of Season Six was a bridge to
get Buffy and Willow together, and he'd still slam the door in Joss's
face!"

Of course not! I'd have three things to say to him:

1) "Um, nice arc. But you do realize that all those Season Six eps
kinda sucked, don't you? (Except "Normal Again".) I mean, in Season
Two, you had a nice arc, but you also made sure the individual eps were
good."

2) "Well, like I said, great. But since you've made no effort to get
the blood off of Willow's hands, you're basically just doing a lesbian
version of Buffy/Angel, which is the sort of thing I Scooby-ship to get
away from. No tortured passion with dangerous, untrustworthy murderers,
please. I guess I really should be 'shipping Buffy/Xander now, since I
can at least argue that Xander didn't summon Sweet, he was covering for
Dawn."

3) "A f*****g PRODUCTION STILL?? Where's the footage? All 42 takes
of it??"

Dan

going for the gusto

Oh, and regards this:

Dan, just let it go, or else you'll be all veiny with stringy black
hair.

Um, Yosh, whaddaya mean "you'll be"??

BTW, I guess that "True Vampire Slayer" might mean she does something
heroic and takes all the vamps with her (although then they'd have to
change the title of the show to "Dawn, the Energy Ball" or whatever).
Or perhaps she pulls a Cordy and ascends, which has always been a
favorite theme for Joss. (Remember, both the Master and Angel spoke of
"ascension" before the Mayor got in on the act.)

But either way, I'm thinking that Buffy's days on Earth are as numbered
as SMG's on the show. I can't see her trundling off to the Old Slayers'
Home and letting Dawnie do all the work, nuh-uh.
