Re: [Re: [Listmum's guide to 'Buffy The Vampire Slayer' Plott...]

Greetings,

On the other hand, if the First Evil is as powerful as you make him out to
be, that would have been the entire script for 'Welcome To The Hellmouth'.

You seem to forget Kira, If it is the First Evil than it's playing on a
theater the likes of which are beyond comprehension. We are limited by two
major factors.

1. Three Dimensions

2. Causality, or Linear Events.

The First Evil would have no such limitations. There are rules I'm sure or
else, with these freedoms it would just reach back and undo creation. The fact
that is cannot is your 'Great Good' in action. But the Great Good cannot
interfere directly. That would make the free will of mortals redundant. And
this opens a huge wall of fluff that involves philsophy, ethics, thealogy with
other fun things like 'pre-destiny' and the like. Stuff I'm not willing to go
into right now.

Allow me to get back to the Lord of the Rings metaphor you used. If (and
keep in mind that I'm saying 'If' here) the First Evil is the main villain of season seven, then it would be the eqivilent of Sauron, not Morgoth as you suggested in your letter, MH.
If this is the case than it is not The First Evil but rather 'The First's
right hand man. Sauraon was Morgoth's second in command. Morgoth was Lucifer.
Right out, plain and parcel the whole package. The Creator created Morgoth and
than everything else. Morgoth fell. Morgoth was defeated because, in that era,
Gods(Or the Creators agents) lived ON Middle Earth. It was only when the High
Mortals were corrupted by Sauron and attempted to invade The Land of The Gods
to attain imortality that The Gods left Middle Earth. The only way after that
to reach the Land Of The Gods was to take the Grey ships. And only High Elves
could do that. (Special arrangements were made for Frodo, Gandalf(Who was a
direct agent of The Creator)Bilbo, and later Samwise). I recomend, to
understand all this Kira, that you read 'The Similarrion' and 'Letters of JRR
Tolkien.'

There's also the fact, Kira, that The First Evil would be, according
Jossotholgy, greater the Morgoth. As it is never explained wether the first
evil was AFTER the Creation or there AT THE SAME TIME! If this is the case it
would of greater power, malovolence and hatred than Lucifer Morningstar.

The First could not BE Sauron because it is The FIRST.

And like Sauron, the FE would be a background
player, with various vampires and demons acting as his Uruk-Hai and Orc army, and possibly a more visible main villain as his Saruman.

You are talking about the First Evil, Kira. The FIRST. The Greatest. The
Orignal Sin given form and power. Power beyond anything that we can concieve.
If the First of ANYTHING, Evil, Good, Chaos, Order, Light, Dark, Nature...gave
it's full attention to a singluar planet that planet would shrivel up and die.
We're talking about raw concepts of reality marching around a stage the breath
and span are all the multiverses concieved.
The Agents of the First could be at work sure, but they're just misguided
fools. The First doesn't care about worshippers, it doesn't care about Solar
Systems. Not when you're dealing with a chessboard that big. Nu-uh. No way.
THAT is why the First in Amends was a bad idea and THAT is why it was buried.

I did the same thing. A long time ago I created a villain that was BEAUTIFUL.A
darkness of great power and terrible poise. One that could evolve and the more
I created it the more it grew and changed into something truly horrid. The bad
news? I couldn't kill the damn thing. There was no way for it to die that
didn't involve plunging the earth back into the stone age and even THAT
wouldn't be a guarentee.

So I never used it. What a waste.

I remain, as always,
