stayed in ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Sunnydale, August 1999 Buffy strolled toward her last graveyard of the night. Slaying was the furthest thing from mind. As usual, summer had been very slow vampire wise. She hadn’t seen a single one in weeks. Though with the beginning of her first year of college coming soon, combined with the power vacuum left after she killed the mayor, she knew that demonic activity would be on the rise again soon. But none of that mattered at the time. Instead, she was thinking about her friends, and all the fun things they’d do over the next year. Then she thought about what her roommate would be like. She knew there was a chance they’d get along great. She also knew she could end up being the annoying kind who has to label everything and insist on logging calls so there are no questions later. She shivered at the thought. ‘Maybe I can ask the housing people if they could rearrange things so I can be with Will. At least then I wouldn’t have to be as careful with hiding my slaying like I would if I were living with a complete stranger.’ she thought as she entered the graveyard. When she began scanning the graveyard, she was surprised by what she saw. A brunette with hair below her shoulders was sitting on a tombstone while a blonde with short, pixie-like hair kissed her neck and slid her hand down the front of her pants. Buffy didn’t know what to think. ‘Two girls in a Sunnydale graveyard at night, if they’re not already vampires they will be soon. Better find out.’ “You know, there are better places that you could be doing that.” Sure enough, the blonde stops what she’s doing only to vamp out and turn toward her. “You must be the slayer, I heard this is where you were. Doesn’t matter though, you won’t be here long.” With that, she lunged at Buffy, toppling her over. Before she was able to go for her throat, Buffy had kicked her off and had a stake ready for when she regrouped. Asthe vampire came at her for a second attack, Buffy was more than ready for her. “Looks like I’ll be here longer than you” she said as she plunged the stake through her heart. Not
wanting to share the fate of her lover, the brunette took off before Buffy
could follow her. ‘She’ll
pay for taking Amber from me. After
