I was saddenned to read of two celebrity deaths, one of which actually has a connection to BtVS.
The first was Johnny Cash, the original Man In Black. A powerful voice, even in the last year of his life. If you doubt that, check out his cover of Nine Inch Nails' "Hurt" earlier this year.
The second death was that of John Ritter. I was surprised to learn of his death from an undiagnosed heart problem, especially since his comedy "Eight Simple Rules" was one of the better shows to premiere last year. Of course us Buffy fans will remember his role as the creepy wannabe-stepdad-robot Ted Buchanan in the second season ep "Ted".
They will be missed.
