Sorry this took so long. RL been messy and I've been writing two 
stories at once again. In case you're wondering its about what Joyce 
and Dawn were doing during Season 5. (I think its season 5.) Oh well 
it's called Everyone Has A Secret In Sunnydale. You can find it on 
the Lady Slash e-group. Oh Well Here's the next chapter of THE

"What happened? What happened?"

Willow was startled out of her remembering by the voices of the 
growing crowd sitting around her. Where there had once only been 
children, now there were teenagers and adults listening to her story. 
They were all listening with awe. Many of them had heard pieces of 
the story, but very few had heard it in entirety.

"Spike captured Xander and me and took us to an old abandoned 
warehouse."

"Why?" One of the children asked.

"He wanted Drucillia back. He thought I could get her for him."

"Oh."

"What happened?" Another child asked.

Willow looked sadly at the child, "Xander and I made the biggest 
mistake of our lives."

"What did you do?"

"We kissed."

"Ewwww." Xander faked disgust.

Willow laughed, "When we were kissing Oz and Cordelia walked into the 
warehouse. Cordelia was badly hurt." Willow paused, "It was the end 
of her relationship with Xander."

"What about you and Oz?"

Willow paused, "We tried, but I think me kissing Xander was the 
beginning of the end of Oz and me. I just didn't know it yet."

"What happened next?"

Willow laughed, "Well there is an old saying, God never closes one 
door without opening another. What happened that night was the end of 
Xander and Cordelia's relationship but it was the beginning of 
another."

"What do you mean?" The 17-year-old Max Johnson, the son of one of 
Willow's business partners asked.

"Soon a demon would offer Cordelia a wish and then be stranded in our 
reality. The wish would turn her into a friend and introduce me to 
something I had never considered."

"Like what?'

Willow smiled, "Myself........"
