OT: HELP!!

OK, here is the deal.

I'm merrily working on "Trinity's Child" (the sequel to Terra 
Australis Incognito), I know where I want it to go, however I am hitting a 
case of writers block. I'm endeavouring to weave the story into a rich 
tapestry worthy of your reading (I'm not 100% happy with Terra Australis 
Incognito for a number of reasons) but it seems that my creative writing loom 
is broken. 
I know where I want it to go but the important 'how the hell do I get 
from A to B?' is missing. Speaking of missing, my beta was last seen boarding 
a sleek black messenger of death (ie a submarine) and muttering stuff about 
Sean Connery and caterpillar drives. God knows when (or if) I'll see him 
again. But I digress.
In short, I'm looking for some very kind hearted souls to help me fill 
in the gaps in the story. The big picture is fine but as the saying goes 'the 
devil is in the details'. It's driving me nuts (a very short drive in my 
case) and I'm beginning to get weird stares (well, more than usual) from 
people around me. Please help.
