Dinner
"Dinner ?" Willow queried, from the bedroom.
"The . club ?" Buffy suggested, with a hesitation.
"Or you could just beat me with seaweed now," Willow retorted, emerging in sweater and slacks.
"Okay, so it's not the greatest - "
"I know - but Collin offered us a special deal, so this is hardly costing us more than -- It's all right, Buff. I can cope." She paused then went on: "Usually. But between the crummy DJ and the bar tender hitting on me."
"I saw to him," Buffy said.
"Oh, fine. Buff - I don't want to have to have you around for me all the time." Willow paused - that hadn't come out . "But, thanks, anyway." She hadn't been looking forward to finding a subtle way to turn the bar tender into a cockroach.
"So, let's have a picnic," Buffy suggested. "We've stuff - of a sort - in the cupboard and ."
She looked out of the window.
"And the wind is picking up, and all of a sudden the sand-dunes don't look as nice as they did at half-four," she finished. "So, maybe not."
"Maybe so," Willow said, resolutely. "If you want a picnic, then - " Inspiration failed her.
The idea was sound-they had food and drink in the cabin, and while there was a sea-breeze, if they could just find somewhere sheltered, there might still be time, before the chill set in .
"The hot tub !" Buffy said. There was one between each four cabins - except that, since the resort was hardly open yet, there weren't any residents in any of the other three, so they could have it to themselves.
"You pack up what we need, Will - I'll go and switch it on."
"Oh, no," Willow said. "After the computer pinball incident . "
"No fair - and anyway the machine was broken before I got there."
"But not half as much as after you tried to get it to work," Willow reminded her Slayer lover: "We agreed, remember ? I do the electronics. My good, your bad. Food, hamper: pack, bring." And with a cheeky flip of her chestnut hair she darted out of the door.
By the time Buffy came out everything was ready: the tub was bubbling merrily, and Willow had two little trays for the food. She was just going to goin, when Buff arrived, bearing a large hamper of the remaining food from the larder.
"We'll stock up tomorrow," she said.
"We've only a day and a half," Willow said. "So, actually, eating up is a good thing to do."
Then she took a sharp breath as Buffy shrugged the robe from her shoulders.
"Daring, much ?"
"Hey, my mom would never have let me wear it, and I bought it -" Buffy stopped, and Willow, scenting something, moved in.
"Tell everything !"
"All right - It was Cordy's idea. You should have seen the one she bought !"
"It" was a bikini not worth the name: there were three small triangles of fabric, which were fastened with . Willow decided it was probably dental floss.
"Anyway," Buffy said, "Didn't Giles once say something about 'just a thong at twilight' ?"
Willow "humph"ed and they got into the tub.
Relaxation and sighs of pleasure were the first orders of the day, and thenthe food (and the remnants of a bottle of wine which had also found its way past Joyce's scrutiny).
Then, mellowed, they lay back and looked up at the stars. The bubbling water played over their bodies, making both of them aware of just how alone they were and how little of their vacation they had left.
For a moment Buffy let her eyes closed. A faint sound intruded onto her consciousness, and, Slayer-senses at maximum, she looked up . but saw nothingspecial. Then, by the subdued light of their cabin (they hadn't troubled to put the main tub area floods on) she saw a small wadded bundle on the edge of Willow's wide of the tub.
She looked at Willow, but the witch seemed to be floating half asleep. Shelet her eyes close again, but opened them again sharply, in time to catch Willow slipping her shorts onto the decking.
"Well," Willow said, "I didn't see why, if you were wearing next to nothing, I couldn't - "
She stopped because Buffy had drifted over to her and was gently, sensually, running her hands over Willow's submerged body.
"Next to nothing ?" Buffy said, pedantically.
"I could put back - " Willow began, but Buffy kissed her to shut her up.
"No need, Will - I can equalise the equation." It took her only two quick tugs and a throw to put the minikini out of the tub, and then she nestled herself up to Willow.
"And now we are naked, what shall we do about it ?" she asked. Willow opened her mouth, perhaps to reply, but instead fastened her lips on Buffy's, limpet-like, and they sank into the bubbling. One water-jet zipped across Buffy's naked quim, and she deftly flipped their bodies, so that the next jet played over Willow in a similar manner. Finally they found somewhere where each of them had a jet, but they could still kiss and caress as well.
In that situation their young bodies were on the boil in minutes, but then, just by swaying slightly, to alter the pressures, they found they could keep themselves there almost indefinitely, exchanging kisses, caresses and whispered promises.
Finally Buffy could take no more, and, pulling Willow to her, she initiatedthe final fervid thrustings that would send both of them over the edge.
With the tub being "hot", there was no fear of the water going cold around them as they lay and recovered. Still, they couldn't sleep there .
Buffy was just crawling out, when she felt hands on her thighs and then Willow, kissing her in a very personal place, and suggesting that it would be a good idea if they had a bath before bed .
