I agree with most of your reply, Kimber, with one exception. I must respectfully disagree with the attempt to protect the youth of america from the evil we perpetrate on the buffywantswillow list. I know that this is a stance taken mostly for legal reasons, but I have never understood the american desire to protect children from sex and foul language but not violence. Oh well. It's just that by the age of twelve most children know more foul language then their parents. And have heard cruder waqys to refer to what is esentially a beautiful act.yes I mean sex. I hate to sound superior, but really, trying to protect any child over 12-13 from the idea of sex is like trying to lock the barn door after the horses are gone.

I agree. Though I have to say I joined the BuffyLovesWillow list more to protect myself then my absentee children (re: none). I also agree with Kimber, that both lists server there purpose. While sadden by the lower number of BuffyLovesWillow post, even though I am well into my thirties, I keep an eye out specifically for the BuffyLovesWillow posts. Why because, I just prefer stories that aren't smut. That's not to say, I don't occasionally want smut, but there's just something about a good love story.

I love stories by AM Glass, Pink Rabbit Productions, Kimber, Pat Kelly, and JBStories. I have my BuffySlash mailbox set-up so BuffyWANTSWillow gets labeled in Red, and BuffyLOVESWillow gets labeled a pretty light blue. By far the stores I keep are in light blue. But that's not to say I don't have my fair share of saved stores in red. Especially from authors like Carol Clarke, Jim Means, and ML Tankesly, they rock and they manage to write great adult love stories, that even when they are smutty are just plain darn fun, touching, and a great read.

Besides, I have to admit the biggest turn-off about the BuffywantsWillow list is not the stories. The biggest turn-off is when I log-in to the YahooGroups site to check the archives and get bombarded with a stream of porn ads. It wasn't that bad under eGroups, but I've almost stopped logging into the website under Yahoo.

I'll log-in to the PG site, just so I don't have to put up with the porn ads. Besides I'm well aware my favorite authors post to both sites :-))
